GH Patel School And College of Nursing

The Nursing Staff is the backbone of any hospital. Which is why, our planners decided to train nurses at our own institution, instead of employing them from elsewhere. This not only helps us prepare them to meet our superior quality standards, but also mould them to have the required sensitivity and right attitude towards the rural folk that forms the majority of our patient populace. So far, we have been successful in achieving this aim, as over 90% of the nurses graduating from the nursing school  and college have been employed by Shree Krishna Hospital. This forms the basis of the GH Patel School  and College of Nursing (GHPSCN).

Setting up our own school has the inherent advantage of receiving student nurses with a sort of rural social background. The School of Nursing was inaugurated on 1st August 1980 with generous donations from Shri Gordhanbhai Hathibhai Patel.

The nursing hostel has been constructed just near the Nursing School along with a spacious dining hall. The Nursing School  has an independent small campus within the large campus of Shree Krishna Hospital.

The school of Nursing have  three-and-a-half year course with the intake of 25 seats and  students get a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.

With a view to impart indepth  knowledge in nursing, sincere efforts were made and started the Basic B.Sc Nursing-4 year  Degree Nursing programme  in October 2014  with an intake of 40 students per year in the same building. Both the Degree as well the Diploma Nursing programmes are recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council and affiliated to the Sardar Patel University.
